| Personal Biography: I originally
started DJing house parties and school events when I was a teenager.
This was back in the day when break dancing and rap music were born. I
did this mostly for fun and did not care much for the money. I have
loved music ever since I can remember and my high is seeing people enjoy
the tunes that I play. I’ve been a mobile DJ in business for over 10
years and in that time I have done weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, sweet
16s, corporate events, etc. I have amassed a large library of music
that ranges from the 40’s to the present. My forte is Latin Tropical
dance music but I’ll play just about anything. My DJ equipment
repertoire includes professional gear such as Rane, Electro Voice, Crown
and Samson. My style of DJing private events is almost that of a club
DJ. I prefer to mix the music and sometimes play my own remixes instead
of playing music back to back. That way the music flows smoothly
without any interruption unless there are introductions or other
announcements to be made. I find that this form of DJing keeps the
crowd on the dance floor. I also try to limit my time on the microphone
since most guests can find it annoying when a DJ “hogs” the microphone.
To me DJing is an art. If you can satisfy people with your music for at
least a couple of hours then you have given the gift of happiness.
